2010 WORST KEPT SECRET/DAMAGE CONTROL OF 2010 - AEBN PURCHASE OF FALCON STUDIOS AND MERGER WITH RAGING STALLION
Even though this story purged itself out in the last month of 2010 it was a full year in the making. The Sunday (dec 19) late night "leak" of the press release telling of the merger/purchase was no industry surprise. The signs were all coming into place with the early fall departure of Troy from Falcon and the notice that Falcon was planning on making a move to a "temporary" location which would make it easier for AEBN to purchase the company. Just hours after the "leaked" announcement was made the bloggers and fans voiced their opinions which apparently poked the bear for which a series of "well staged interviews" suddenly popped up out of nowhere and a clear reversal of intentions was made in order to calm the masses. AEBN which is a straight owned company needs retool "the business plan" for 2011 or risk becoming the Titantic of gay porn with a ego driven crew.
2010 JRL AWARDS SHOW EPIC DISASTER-
The JRL Website First Annual Award Show in 2010 which was hosted by Jason Sechrest. The host for the event was fine it was the rest of the show that was pitiful. The show was a catastrophe from the music, award presentations, complete table walk outs, award girl breakdown, and outrageous behavior from a director. The only thing good about the show is that twitter made it easier to deal with the show and just laugh at it.
A special thanks had to go out to Jayden Grey, Brandon Wilde, Trevor Knight and Jason Sechrest who made parts of the show enjoyable.
THE 2010 FIGHT/ARREST OF REALITY STAR STEVEN DAIGLE-TRENT LOCKE
This story took place in early fall where a fight broke out between Reality Star/A List Porn Star Steven Daigle and his bf Trent Locke outside a West Hollywood nightclub. Daigle went to jail and Trent went to the hospital to tweet his condition. The porn industry kept close to the story with zillions of posts and updates. Daigle was released after a few days in the pokie while Locke when out parting and giving the "he said, she said" to any camera that was around. Since the "Bobby-Whitney" smackdown Daigle has been working like crazy and getting things back on track and is heading back to court on Feb 14. Locke while in true hollywood fashion did some charity work for a hot minute and charmed his way to have a studio heavily promote his scene in "Golden Gate" where he allegedly "debuted" his bottoming scene...really? ah no it wasn't the first time.
PATIENT ZERO-DERRICK CHAMBERS
This story unfolded in the fall of 2010 where it was revealed that Patient Zero had unfortunately contracted the HIV virus. The story had some incredible twists and turns regarding the facts. Chambers turned to the media to tell his story where he lashed out at AIM and the Gay XXX INDUSTRY. Even at the end of 2010 the full true story is yet to be told. Sources have told me that Chambers is unclear to exactly where he contracted the virus but he does name a model and shoot where he thinks he contracted the virus to which the studio has yet to post the scene. Chambers is also still in contact with his agent with whom at the time booked him for the scene in question. Chambers who has now become an activist for safe sex in the adult industry has yet to publicly voice his thoughts on testing all models in the gay porn industry. He has also revealed that his agent as of 1.1.11 will now call for all testing for all his models. Only time will tell if this is true or if the agent is putting profit over safety and using someone elses words for your policy like "You have to think every model is positive" is a ridiculous and careless argument not to call for industry wide testing on all models. Since Chambers is still in contact with his agent for whom booked his "vanished" scene and allegedly advised him on a lawyer only time will tell what the future holds for both parties in 2011.
2010 LAWSUIT-JAKE LYONS VS CORBIN FISHER- THE MILLION DOLLAR PICTURES
Porn Star Jake Lyons who was once an exclusive for Corbin Fisher found himself on the back end of a lawsuit siting breach of contract and copyright infringement regarding using 7 photos from Corbin Fisher. Corbin Fisher who has a history of suing models found Lyon's as its next mark. Details of this suit read like a bad lifetime movie of the week script. Lyons states he had permission to use the photos while Fisher says no so fast. The court appearances and "back door "deals came fast and furious at the end of 2010 but it seems that within the first months of 2011 some resolution might be on the horizon.
