BLAH BLAH BLAH "THE KINGS SPEECH" WAS FILMED ON A GAY PORN SET
When the Academy nominated The King's Speech for Best Art Direction, they probably didn't know that one of the film's key settings was also the location of a shoot for UK Naked Men, a porn studio "featuring hung, uncut and horny naked men having great sex."
Most of The King's Speech takes place in the sparse, run-down consulting room of Australian speech therapist Lionel Logue. According to the film's production designer Eve Stewart, the crew shot inside 33 Portland Place, a building with "an unusual vaulted room with large leaded windows at one end, reminiscent of a Venetian palace, and roof lights that make it look a bit like an artist's studio… [it] also has extraordinary walls, decorated in distressed browns and oranges like an exotic damaged fresco."
